I went to turn om my Matag MDG8400AW dryer and it would not start. The damp light came on, but the dryer did not start tumbling or warm up. I turned the knob to the "extended tumble" position and the dryer starts up and tumbles (no heat). What’s wrong? What steps should I go through to diagnose the problem and find the bad component? I tested the continuity on the ignitor and thermal fuse. Haven’t found the problem yet. Need Help! Jim
Probably a problem in the gas system if you have checked out all of the termal fuses and thermostats.
