First we thought it was the belt…wrong… We noticed heat coming into tumbler getting really hot. My son thinks we need to replace thermostat #8318268. any help is appreciated…
I assume the drum is turning.
You need to open it up and clean out the internal lint chute/vent and external vent and make sure the fan is working. If you still have the problem try changing the operating thermostat.

:mad: DRUM IS NOT TURNING AND WE HEAR NO HUMMING FROM THE MOTOR WHEN WE PUSH THE START BUTTON ? 
If the heat is coming on but the dryer will not turn then you have a problem with the motor and its wiring and it is time to get a new dryer.
If the heat is not coming on, check the thermal fuse, the door switch and the start switch.
