dryer won't heat

Gene,

I’ve read through the posts of dryer problems. My problem is that heat quit working. I have power to the gas and ignition system, ignitor comes on but no sound from gas valve or gas flow. I’ve checked coil resistance, coil with 2 terminals is ok, but on coil with three terminals ohm readings are high by 600 and 800 ohms respectively. For several months the dryer has made a loud buzzing noise upon igniting, than ran ok. Sounds like the coil, but usually they fail open instead of having out of range ohm readings. I’m hoping it’s the coil, because the valve is about $200. What’s your thought?

I have to agree with you based in the information you supplied.

I would replace the coils as an assembly(both coils)
