Dryer won't heat

My neighbor has an old stack unit from Maytag. Just recently it quit heating. I recently replaced the Gas hot water heater and turned off the main gas supply. It hasn’t produced heat since. I know that she has hot water and the furnace is also working so it isn’t a gas supply issue. In looking at posts on this forum, it does not appear that this dryer has a pilot light. Where do I start to figure out the problem?

Hi Keith,

One of the most common cause for such problem is not balanced load.

When it happened the washer will never go on full speed during the spin cycle.
