Sherry,
A couple of things you should check,
Make sure the strike(pin) on the door is not loose or broken.
Check the door and door hinges for tight and properly aligned to front panel.
In some cases you have to reset the control, by running the "Diagnostic Test" mode.
The washer must be empty and control must be in the Off state,
Close the door
Turn control on(if button present)
Select the Drain/Spin Cycle
Select No Spin by pressing the Spin Speed touchpad
Press the Prewash or Rinse and Hold option four times with in five seconds.
Any registerred fail code(s) will appear), then,
C:00 should appear in the display.
C:08 should appear at the end of the test cycle.
(you may want to write down the fail codes, so we can determine other possible failures/remedies).
In order to advance through the test mode,
Push the Pre wash or Rinse/Hold option button two times
There are eight test in this this program, and they have to be energized and activated to perform the test properly.
This will also check the control board circuits for proper operation, as well.
Good Luck,

Sherry,
Check and make sure, there are no loose connections or wires between the new door latch assembly and the CCU(central control unit).
If that’s OK, you’ll need the CCU,

Apparently the control board, is not seeing the door latch closed/locked circuit.
That would be why the test stopped at C:00
You did a great job.
Good Luck,
