Dryer starts fine then gets a loud squeaky noise followed by a slight burning smell then dies. I’ve replaced the belt, the drum rollers, idler pulley, and rear drum seal and it seemed ok for a couple hours. then the problem reoccurred. is the next step replacing the motor?
Could find no info using given Model Number. It is missing some digits.

Check out # 26 Motor End Bells and #32 Front seal
Try rotating drum by hand to see if it rotates fairly easily.
Not a bad idea to do this on a couple other dryer so you get a feel for it.
If it rotates OK then probably the motor.
Sounds like you own my dryer! We had squeel and noise that hurt the ears. Replaced drum rollers, teflon bearings in front, idler arm and bearing and belt to no avail. Finally isolated the motor entirely and hand turned the shaft…Got the noise…from the front bearing of the motor. Decided a new motor was still cheaper than a new dryer, and now mine is nearly new with all the parts I put in anyway. That’s my story and I’m stickin to it.
