I changed the thermostat and the heating element, and my dryer still wont heat up. I also checked continuity. I have power working all the way to the motor where I have two red wires. One coming from the top, and the other going to the thermostat, the one going to the thermostat isn’t getting any power. What can it be???
Without the model # it is hard to tell what model you have. If you have a thermal fuse, it would be located on the upper left hand side of the element housing. That could be your problem. You also might want to check the power coming in to the back of the dryer where the cord hooks up to the terminal block, to be sure you have 240 volts. Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com
is a kenmore 70 serie 66712692
Your dryer does have a thermal cut out. It is the part on the top left side of the heater housing. Which is where you put the element in. Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com
it was the thermal cut out:) tku
