EO F3 Error

The answer I found on this website for the error codes EO F3 said to replace the Oven Temperature Sensor (RTD). Would anyone know how I go about doing this?
Thanks

Peter

Your model number seems to be missing the last digit so the following is for GR475XLS

Following is the sensor click on it for more info and a Q&A section and video.

Denman, thanks for your response.
The model number I posted is correct:GR475LXLS.
That’s how it appears on my Whirlpool range. The video you posted is for a gas range and mine is electric, but I don’t suppose that makes a difference. So the part number you listed, AP4326911, I will assume is correct and I will order it from you guys tomorrow. Please respond to this email to confirm.
Thanks for your help.

Install of the part should be the same.

Well, the last post was 10/14/12 and I’m getting the same errors again and I’m wondering if it’s the same sensor again and should I replace it again. It’s not even a year. The errors come on while the oven is on and they some time come on randomly. Of course the oven shuts off when they come on.
Thanks for the help.

Try unplugging the unit for a couple minutes to see if it will reset.

I would check the sensor with a meter.
At room temperature it should be approx. = 1080 Ω.
Check it on it’s own and also at the control board, just to be sure that the wires from the control board to the sensor are OK.

If the sensor measures OK then check the connector on the board for a cold solder joint.
Cold solder joints are often a duller silver color and may also have pin holes.
Gently wiggle the connector on the board while looking at the solder side of the board to see it the connector’s leg moves in the solder.
Look for hairline cracks in the copper trails on the board in the area where the sensor connects.
A magnifying glass comes in handy when doing the above.
