My ice maker has become erratic. It sometimes makes ice only once or twice per day, other times it is normal. NOW, there is ice in it which will not drop after several days. The LED blinks twice when the door is open and does the same when the little flap is closed. The LED goes out when the freezer light switch is turned off. Do I need the level control module or the ice maker? Or both?

UPDATE: Five hours after my post I checked the freezer and the LED blinked twice, BUT now when I closed the flap door, the light remained on continuously. A few minutes later, the ice maker dropped the ice and refilled. Does this add a clue to the source of my problem?
