Error codes disappeared.

While cooking, wife heard a pop, gas oven went off then back on & off again. Error code "E-2 F-1" on display. I followed troubleshooting guidelines: that code was only one to display. I then unplugged for about 2 minutes (more than once) & error code reappeared. That told me i needed a new Electronic Range Control/clock unit. Ordered from App Parts Pros. BUT… just yesterday new code of "PF" appeared - (i don’t know what PF means) - along with the time. I pushed "Cancel" and the PF disappeared & clock is working. I have not tried to use oven again. (1) should i try to use oven & see what happens? (2) should i assume the control panel is bad anyway & replace it since i have the new part? (3) Any other suggestions. Thanks
