The evaporator fan in my freezer is revving and cutting out. The freezer is fully functional it’s just the noise is annoying. I tried replacing the main board but that made no difference.

Does that mean the fan motor is bad?
A second possibility related issue is the freezer was once overloaded with food and now after each defrost cycle the plastic back panel deforms and the evaporator fan hits it making a loud noise. Whenever I hear the noise I reach in the freezer and pull the panel forward and the noise stops. I’ve been doing that 2-3 times a week for about 2 years.
