Extra rinse does not work

Open the control panel and check continuity of the extra rinse switch. This is the exact same switch as your fabric softener switch if you just want to try swapping them.

If the switch checks out ok, the timer is faulty.

OK, I suspected that. Now, how do I get to the control panel. Other Sears i have had were straight forward

Eric, Thank you! You will not believe what a dummy I am. Either the extra rinse never worked or the contact block vibrated off, but the switch was not connected. Got it fixed.
