F1 error and very dim display

I have a Thermador RDF free standing dual fuel range. For years the display has been getting dimmer.

Now I get an f1 error. I have tried powering off the unit, but it did not work. I have checked and none of the buttons seem to be stuck. We did have a power outage just before this started.

Most likely the problem is a bad Electronic Range Control (ERC). I would also check the switches on the door lock.
