F1 error code on MGR5755ADQ maytag oven

Oven would not lite. Was getting an F3 error code. I have replaced oven sensor as instructed by this site. After replacing sensor I plugged oven back in and now I am getting an F1 error code. The oven still will not lite. Please help…over a month without an oven!

Try to enter a test mode by completing the following procedure: pres Bake, slew down to 100°F, hold down the bake key for 3 seconds. The control will flash the Preheat indicator and display the sensor temperature. At this time the display will also indicate the last recorded fault code, which is stored in the control. The fault code should be displayed by indicating an "F" follower by TWO numerals. Post the result.

I did as you instructed. The oven just tried to light and did not and finaly it pops up F1 aqain on the screen. I just replaced the sensor because I was getting an F3 code. After I put it in now I am getting an F1. Help??? I hate to poor more money into it if it just keeps giving more codes… Thanks for any help you can give.

Might be the sensor was not bad? Have you measured the sensor resistance?

No I didnt. I just went off of what you said the F3 error code was. So do I now need to replace the touchpad???

You have to replace the control board, not the touch pad.

Gene, I have replaced the sensor and the Oven clock (the whole thing including the board, all one piece). Still getting F3 error code? Any suggestions Please!

Originally it was "F3", then it switched (with the new sensor) to "F1" and with the new clock it shows "F3" again? Is it right?

That is correct. First had F1 put in new sensor then got F3. Put in new clock and still getting F3.
