Fill valve doesn't stop filling

I had a spinning problem and have pulled the clothes out due to the washer being overloaded, but when testing the washer to make sure it was operating correctly through the entire wash cycle I have noticed the fill valve is not stopping at the correct water level as selected.

I checked the valve by blowing into the tube and the water will shut off and the washer will begin agitating but when I reinsert the tube back onto the tub it continues to fill with water.

Does the switch only require a small amount of air pressure to activate it? Or could my problem be that the small box where the water enters the tube be clogged and not enough water pressure is getting into the tube?

Hi.

The water level switch does require a small amount of air pressure to close the contacts. You should blow into the air hose in both directions to clear the air dome. Check the pressure hose for cuts and cracks ,replace if needed.
Make sure that the tub is empty (no water) before reconnecting the air pressure hose.

The pressure hose WH41X365

The water level WH12X10173
