Fisher Paykell washer will not drain

I received advice from another tech on another website regarding my problem. I have a Fisher Paykell washer that I washed some old rugs in and I believe something is clogged. The tech said to isolate the electrical system then remove the pump. I am a 51 year old woman who usually can fix things on her own, but how do i isolate the electrical system? Also, there are screws that attach the agitator to the drum, can I remove them first to see if something is clogged there? My concern regarding the screws though, are there bolts on the end of them? I don’t want to end up with even a bigger problem. Any advice I can get would be very much appreciated!
