First off, this forum looks like a great place to get some good advice, so thanks in advance.
I have a gas dryer that seems to work for 1 or 2 heat cycles and then the heat quits working. When it quits working, you can hear the ignitor switch on and then you hear a low grinding noise.
I have taken it apart and if I let it sit for an hour. I turn it on and it works for 1 cycle. Really good flame. I wait for the next heat cycle, the ignitor glows very hot, but the grinding noise comes back and there is no flame.
I am thinking it is a bad gas valve, any thoughts?
Thanks,
Preston
