Found the e-clip that holds the drive pulley onto the drive shaft of my Maytag washer (MAV6000AWQ) broken. Got another clip but even after aligning the drive pulley and its insert for maximum clearance the clip will not fit into the groove on the drive shaft.
follow up question:
Only .005 in. to .010 in. is needed to have the clip fit. Would there be any problem just sanding/filing that amount of the drive pulley’s hub?
