Freezer (24 deg)

Wednesday am when I woke up there was a puddle of water in front of the frig. The ice had melted. So far I determined the overload protector was bad (clicking & compressor not running). I replaced the OP and now the frig is 40deg & freezer will only go down to 24. I had already cleaned the coils with a vacuum.
The frig is 8 yrs old, 2yrs ago a repairman replaced the compressor. It appears that one of the copper fittings may have leaked some freon out. To me if this is correct, then it wouldn’t be cooling at all right?
What advise can you give me? Thanks…

The copper line on the compressor that leads to the coils was wet with a little oil/freon on it after I wiped it earlier. I plan on re saudering the line. Can I add freon back into it with a can of 134A with the gauge on top? If so what pressure should I use for the frige compressor?
