I called a repairman and he said that the fan had fallen off of the evaporator motor. So he replaced the fan, and said give it 24 hours and if it still didn’t cool then he would have to replace the evaporator motor. Well it still doesn’t cool, but the fan is running, so I don’t understand why replacing the evaporator motor would fix my problem if the fan that is attached to the evaporator motor is running. Does the evaporator motor do something other than run the fan? Or do you think it could be something else?

if the Refr not cooling and the eva fun working,it could be the dumper not air flow\, also make sur the bottom of the fresh food section must be open for air flow.[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000]here is you can check first the diffrost terostat and elements are working proprly, 2nd the dumper are is open to flow air properly.

If the fan blade is turning at the proper speed it should be OK.

Probably but cannot be sure without being there.
You should be able to feel cold air entering the the top/back of the fresh food compartment. Take a look at section 4, Items 34, 20, 9 etc. are the mechanical linkage which open/close the damper. This regulates the amount of cold air entering the fresh food compartment. Check that the tech did not inadvertently leave it closed.
Are the compressor and fans cycling or are they on all the time.
If on all the time then you may have a defrost problem.
Check your freezer temperature. It should be 0 to 5 degrees F.
