Freezer is too warm

The freezer is too warm in my GE Profile [FONT=Calibri][SIZE=2]PSS26NSTSS side by side.

Noticed frost on the back of the freezer, used a hair dryer to warm it, and then the evaporator fan kicked on after 5-10 minutes of defrosting, and then the refrigerator returned to normal after a bit.

It seems the evaporator fan doesn’t come on unless I defrost the rear of the freezer first. From there, it will maintain good temps for a couple days and then slowly start to warm up. Compressor and compressor fan are working fine, and the compressor’s radiator is cleaned as well.

Could this problem be the thermistor by the evaporator?

Thanks!

I’m leaning towards the defrost limiter thermostat as the problem. Would the part number be AP3884317?

Seems like a bad mothjerboard in the back AP4436216 While the freezer is still cold, pull the cover off the motherboard and locate the 3 pin power connector, then unplug fridg and pull the connector off. Identify the mating pins as labled on the motherboard, line and def. Put a wire jumper between these pins, then plug in fridg.
If you get defrost action replace board, if not, most probably a bad defrost heater.
