Freezer Motor replacement

How do I replace the ice maker motor?

First remove the icemaker from the refrigerator. Then remove the cover from the motor assembly. Next unplug the wire harness from the side of the unit. Remove the ice level bar by pulling it out of the motor assembly. you will see 4 screws holding the motor assembly to the mold assembly, remove the screws, then gently pull the old motor assembly out and reinstall your new one. Be sure and line up the ejector arm properly with the new motor assembly. Hope this helps.

I unscrewed the two screws under the ice catch container. There is another plastic piece that is stuck pretty good in there. do I remove that cover to get at the motor (inside door)?

The problem with my icemaker is that it makes ice, but when you press a glass to where the ice comes from door nothing comes out. did I buy the right part for replacement to fix problem?

So let me get this correct, you are replacing your dispenser motor, not the icemaker motor. Is that correct.

Yes. I figured it out. Once I found the lower inside panel, it was easy from there. It works perfect now. Thanks anyway.
