How To Change Ice Dispenser Motor

Everything I’ve seen on changing the auger motor says to remove (2) screws from bottom of ice dispenser cover. My inside door cover is (1) Piece molded and there is NO removeable cover. My question is–how to get to dispenser motor. Do I need to remove front dispenser business to change it out? If so, are there any guidelines?

Thanks,

The freezer door liner is (1) piece molded and there is NO motor cover to remove. The word file shows a cover but my model fridge doesn’t have one. I’m thinking I’ll probably have to get to motor from front of door. Has anyone else ran into this problem?:frowning:

Sorry, I did not realize that your model has fast fill dispenser. In that case the motor has to be accessed through the dispenser. The instructions are attached.

What if there isn’t any screws in the dispenser cover?

I have four pins instead.

Only pin 1 and four has 85 ohms connection. All others are disconnected

This is different from the five pin IDI which has two pairs of connections

Can you share the test procedure?

Thanks

Gene, Thanks for the info!
