The compressor began to make a humming noise and within a day or so we noticed that the freezer was no longer getting cold. The compressor continues to run, but the condensor coil isn’t getting hot. Could this be a problem with the start relay or the capacitor? What test can I perform using a multimeter to determine the condition of the compressor and start / run relay? No porting available to test the freon on this unit?
If the compressor is vibrating and warm, the system has leaked refrigerant.
