The refridgerator will not cool below 42 Degrees. I have looked at the evaporator and there is no frost build up. I have replaced the thermostat to no avail. The compressor runs and the evaporator fan works fine. Could this be a defrost timer issue? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
I replaced the defrost timer today and the fridge cooled to 34F for a while but then went up to 50F again. Still sitting in the mid to high 40s range for a couple of hours.
You have refrigeration problems for a pro to look at. Either that, or your compressor start device is failing.

Thanks. If it is the compressor start device would that be part AP2992825 ?
Pull the back off the fridg and check the compressor. If running and the condenser is warm but not hot, you most probably have a refrigerant leak and/or a bad compressor. Sometimes the compressor will shut down on thermal overload, but probably doesn’t apply in your case. Only amprobe and gauges would confirm bad compressor.
