I have a Frigidaire FWT645RHS0 front load washer that has been leaking water when I run cycles. I had a repair man come look at it, he said the shell seal is leaking and said it’s cost me $500 to repair it! So I’m going to repair it myself. He gave me general instructions on how to disassemble and repair the appliance but I thought if I could get some additional help, and maybe a service manual, it’d be much easier.
Any ideas and is it really called a Shell Seal or is it a tub seal? I can’t find anything called a shell seal but there are tub seals, is it the same thing?
See if this service manual fits your model.

Frigidaire has really good manuals, so this should answer your questions and take you through the repair. Just be very patient, have some help and take your time.
Perfect! Thank you so much, I was starting to think I’d have to buy a new washer without even attempting a repair. I’ll give it a shot Thank you!
Great, let us know how that goes.
Can someone provide a link that works? It takes me to the Electrolux website but i can’t register.
Thanks…looking for the pdf file
