Hi, my washer keeps flashing pause once I press start on any setting. I also found a round disk magnet in the washer. The farthest I got today was a casual cycle but stopped and didn’t drain, then flashes paused. Now I can’t even start any cycle without the flashing pause. I also don’t hear the door lock.
There should be tech notes inside the lower service panel. These will tell you how to put it into a diagnostic mode, generate error codes and test some key components. If you have any trouble getting it into diagnostic mode then the control unit may be at fault.
Not sure what role the magnet plays in all of this. It is not part of the machine as far as I know.
