frigidaire electric stove with controls on front

I have a frigidaire electric stove that has the controls on the front above the over it is a glass top and was made in 2006 the model number is fes367dsc. the right front burner will only cook on high. We want to fix it but can’t get the glass top off even after taking the two screws above the oven door off and a bunch of screws on the sides off. Anyone can help me?:frowning:

Hi.

The part witch is bad is the infinite switch for the right front burner.
To get to it remove the 4 knobs, then unscrew the 4 supports directly under the knobs.
Remove the control panel and you’ll see how to get to the infinite switch. On the diagram#1 it’s #54 or #54A, determine yourself and order the right one.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5150245

Thank you. Post the results.

I have a frigidaire electric stove that has the controls on the front above the oven it is a glass top and was made in around 2005. Model gles388csa. The left fron burner will not work. It is part of a bridge element whereas the bridge heats up but the small front burner does not. I need some help please.

Hi.

With the power off to the unit turn the corresponding burner switch (infinite) on and check contacts P2-4 for continuity (Use the multimeter and take one wire off the contacts).
If that checks OK then most likely the element is bad

Simon.

Simon,

The infinite switch checked out good so I went ahead and bought the surface bridge element part #318177900 pos. no.15A for $209.34. I recieved the replacement surface element but its wiring configuration is different from the origional element. The wiring schematic that came with the range is #318045078 REV. A. The wiring schematic that is shown in breakdown diagrams and Backguard parts for Frigidaire GLES388CSA - AppliancePartsPros.com is #318045078 REV. A. I get a little perplexed with schematics and I don't want to harm my new element by incorrectly wiring. There is only 9 wires that need to be terminated and I have figured out the 3 wires that go to the hot surface and pilot light sensors. I need to know which schematic I need to go by and where to terminate the remaining 6 wires properly.

        Thanks,
                      Patrick Luebbert
