Frigidaire Microwave stopped working

I was cooking a potatoe in the microwave and it stopped working. The timer works and light comes on, but no noise comes from the microwave and the turntable doesn’t turn. Any suggestions on what could be wrong with it? Please help as we don’t want to buy a new one!

Very likely the problem is a bad door switch. You have to open the control panel and check them for continuity.
