My Frigidaire gallery front load washer stopped spinning. So my husband checked the hoses. When the hoses are disconnected it spins and drains just fine. It still washes great, it is just the spin cycle. It won’t drain the water. When it has water in it, it won’t spin. When the water is out of it, it will spin even with hoses on. Not sure what to do. Please help. Customer service says it’s the hoses but they are good and not clogged. My husband thinks it may be the pump. But not sure what could be wrong with that either. Is this something we can fix ourselves? Really don’t have the money for new expensive parts.
Well, yours is an unusual problem, and I can only think your husband is correct and that it is the pump, which for some reason will not work under a load.
Here is a service manual, and if you decide to go that route it will show you how to replace the pump, which is not a difficult job.
