Whirlpool Kirkland Signature… have to get Model number when I get home.
Replaced Timer (wasn’t moving), one one-time thermal fuse, one thermostat. $200 in parts later, still starts to heat up, box is glowing well, and flame goes out in 5-10 minutes. Have another thermostat connected to the gas burner and high temperature cutoff switch kit on order. I don’t think it’s the burner or the igniter, since it works for a little while then goes cold. Timer, even though supposedly new, doesn’t move on one side, but moves on the other. Wiring double/triple checked. Could it be a sensor or something else that causes the dryer to stop heating after 5-10 minutes? Even when stopped and started again, it doesn’t heat up, until I put in a new part of put an old part back in… then it heats up for the 5-10 minutes before dying ahead. Dryer still spins and blows after this time, just no heat
The problem with the dryer is most likely the solenoid coil that control the opening and closing of the gas valves. Replace the coils and your problem should be fixed.
