GE Cook Top / Sparking from under the knob

Hi APP Pros,

The cook top has 5 burners, one of the knob (please picture 1) started to spark/short with cracking sound and smoke and burning smell. This would happen if you try and operate any other knob.
Reading the forums, I guess the Harness Switch may need replacement. However, I will appreciate if you could please look at the pictures and advise the parts that I may need to fix this problem.
Also do you have the detailed instructions on how to take out remove the top cover to be able to replace the damaged parts.
