I have a GE drop in range, Model # JDP37GOL8BG, Serial # RD405153Q. It started beeping and displayed -F1- on the display. I can clear the -F1- display and stop the beeping by pressing the ‘Cancel’ button, however, after 15 seconds it displays -F1- again and starts beeping all over again. I replaced the keypad and the electronic controller, because that is what was suggested in online error code tables. I ordered the keypad/controller from Appliance Parts Pros, order # 2197700. I installed it, and operation is the same. The only way I can get it to stop beeping is if I stand there and keep hitting the ‘Cancel’ button, or, after hitting the ‘Cancel’ button, I turn on the oven. It then doesn’t beep, however, the oven doesn’t warm and the temperature indicator sits at 100 degrees, the lowest temperature indication. The time of day clock keeps time. I have also replaced the temperature senser (in the oven) since the oven wasn’t heating, with no effect; both the old and new temperature sensers measure 1.09 kohm at room temperature. The top and bottom heating elements worked fine prior to the -F1- display/beeping issue. I have looked at the wiring and there is no indication of heat, age, or shorting. Since replacing the keypad and the electronic controller hasn’t solved the problem, is there additional troubleshooting I can perform that can get me to the root of this problem? Could I have gotten a bad controller? BTW, this all started a short time after we had run the self cleaning cycle for the first time in this oven’s life… And, I don’t have a wiring diagram…
