GE ice maker not working

Need some guidance on how to trouble shoot my 6 year old GE Side By Side ice maker not making ice. Fridge is model GSHS5KGXCCSS.

  1. Water dispenser works fine
  2. I have not seen any water come out of the fill tube.
  3. I’ve tried resetting the ice maker by pushing lever back 3x. The lever works fine, springs back on it’s own.

Seems like my ice maker is dead or an issue with how water is pumped up to the ice maker. I can buy a new ice machine for $55 shipped, tempted to do that. How do I determine what my issue is? I haven’t yet unscrewed the rear cardboard cover to see what’s back there. I’m guessing there is a pump that pushes water up to the ice maker?
