Originally the problem was the ice maker would not dispense without rotating the motor a little (like a dead spot in an armature). Then finally the set temp panel in the fridge went blank and both the fridge and freezer were not getting cold anymore. Also, the panel lights would tick and there was a clicking sound from main board.
Replaced the control board with WR55X10942. My model number is PSS26SGRD SS. Serial number is RH417443. Also replaced the ice maker motor. It appears the armature was dragging on the sides of the housing and the current load wiped out the power supply on the control board.
The refrigerator and freezer are now cooling and water dispenses, but the ice maker is not making ice. The motor will not turn when I call for ice either.
Instructions call for cutting jumpers but my serial number is not listed. Any help much appreciated.
