Hello All,
I’ve seen different variations of my issue, but nothing exact. My freezer/fridge work fine 90% of the time. The problems happens when my freezer and fridge temps rise approx 5-10 degrees. It’s not a huge problem for that short period of time for the fridge, but the freezer is a problem. The ice begins to melt (and drip water), then refreezes. I empty out the ice tray and everythings fine for several days. The cycle starts over again about once a week. I can hear the fan running at times when the "thaw" happens. This issue has caused the ice auger to be damaged, or gauged at the rear when my kids try to get ice when the ice has refrozen into a chunk.
Is there a defroster part that can be causing this or maybe a thermistor?
I appreciate any help or guidance.
Dave
