My washer may be old, but has been in storage for several years. It was banging loudly during agitate cycle, error code 4 flashes which is the mode shifter.
Bought and replaced mode shifter. Washer still wont agitate or spin. No error codes. Reset the machine several times…hoping, to no avail. 
Tested the lid switch and it’s good. Belt moves freely.
What else can I check?
