GE Range- Oven cuts off

I have a 2 year old GE range and the oven will randomly shut off (the clock/control panel goes dark). The only way to get it back on is to turn on a burner knob. Do I have a bad Control Board and is that something I could replace?

Very likely the problem is a bad control board. The model number you posted is incomplete. The Model Number Locator will help you to find it.

JBP74 D M2BB is entire number. Can you tell me the control board p/n?

You may want to check the power supply wires from the power cord to the control board.

Possible there is a broken wire or a loose connection somewhere.

I do not have the wiring diagram for this model and I’m not able to provide more specific instructions.
