I have a GE refrigerator (model # GSH25SGRESS). The problem happens when the compressor needs to kick back on I hear a clicking noise from the main control panel but the compressor doesn’t start up. It seems that when I activate the water dispenser the compressor will start up again. I also noticed that both the water and ice dispenser do not always work and when they don’t, I try again later and they will usually work.

The compressor shut-off when it reaches the refrigerator’s cooler setting level and when compressor trying to kicks back to run, I hear the noise from the main control board on my GE Refrigerator.
It sounds like you have a bad relay or a loose connection on the board.

Is there anything I can check on thte main board before I replace it. If I have to replace the main board, is it easy to do it? Thank so much.
Unplug the machine. Remove the cover plate to the board. It’s plug and play. Be careful not to damage the new board with stray static discharge. Look at the old board. See if there is any discolored or burnt components. See if you can spot a bad solder joint.
Replaced new board. Everything’s works great. I checked the old board didn’t see any discolored or burnt components and can’t spot any bad solder joint. Thank so much magician59.
