GE Refrigerator Defrost Issues

Hi
I have a GE refrigerator the freezer section of which is no longer cooling well as also the refrigerator.

There is a lot of ice on the rear wall of the freezer. I checked the defrost heater for continuity and it seems fine.

I ended up changing the main board, part # 801 here.

However, after working fine for a few days, the problem is back.

Not sure what else do I need to change if at all.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Here are the parts

Did you check the defrost thermostat Section 5 Item 240.
Also if it looks bulged out I would replace it.

Probably not a bad idea to replace the sensor, Item 241.

If the fan is running OK I would not replace it, just a waste of money.

Sounds more like a defrost problem than a fan problem.

Perfect. Thanks much…

I will order only those 2 parts and get back to you in a couple of days.
