GE side by side compressor runs constant now

Orginally the unit would not defrost, so following previous threads I read the resistance in the defrost circuit and it was about 22 ohms. So I replaced the control board, and temp sensors in the freezer. Since replacing the control board the compressor has not shutoff in more than 12 hours the unit was cold before installing the replacement parts. Fridge is 28 degrees and freezer is about 20 degrees.
Prior to changing the control board the only issue was the coils in the freezer would ice up every couple of weeks.
Thanks for all the help.

I would not panic just yet, give it at least 24 hours.
seems like the temperature is headed in the right direction.

You said the unit was still cold, if you did not manually defrost the evaporator coils then it could take a couple defrost cycles to clear them and get the unit running efficiently.

Also did you clean the condenser coils?

I would check to be sure the condenser fan is running.

I did clean the coils I blew them out and vacuumed the fine stuff off, the evaporator only had a slight frost on it when I replaced the thermistors and had just begun to sweat some. The fan was running it seems whenever the compresor was on. Thanks
