Hello, everyone.
I’ve been reading this forum for several days, but I didn’t found any problem like me.
I bought a GE side by side refrigerator (120V) that was plugged into a 230V power outlet by mistake.
The mainboard was damaged when this happen (original mainboard code #200D6221G014, WKKT 1304-03-71A, 2407DG). So, I called GE assistance here in Brazil and ordered a new mainboard. They told me that this board is not built anymore, so, they give me the #200D6221G028.
So, I put the new board at the refrigerator and all mandatory parts that do the cold air are running: compressor, condenser fan and evaporator fan.
But…the freezer is warm (a little bit cold, but warm for a freezer) and the fresh food side is warm and there is no air blowing inside it (I didn’t checked the damper as well, I’m concentrating my efforts to the freezer).
I looked for leakings in the compressor tubes, and I don’t found anyone. Also, I checked the thermostat on the freezer and it seems to be okay (visual), but I didn’t checked its continuity.
I didn’t checked as well the thermistors (2 on the freezer, 2 on the FF).
The compressor works for 10 hours and rests for 1. I let the refrigerator works for 36 hours (temperature set in 5 for both sides, freezer/FF) and the freezer is not cooling.
I’m affraid that more parts could be damaged when the refrigerator was plugged into the wrong voltage, but I don’t know which parts I should check.
I’ll wait your help, fellows.
Thanks in advance.
David.
