I have replaced a few parts on my frig new motherboard, new evap fan major improvement on performance but when changing board i noticed some some insulation missing on a couple wires i think something fell between wall and board cover anyhow one was a evap fan wire other wire seemed to be for a thermistor sensor. after i put in new parts and fixed wires frig cooled but freezer not cold enough checked all common stuff condensor, defrost cyle, evap coils all getting a even frost etc also replaced thermistor sensors cheap enough worth a shot but still same results even after couple days no changes. when using a hair dryer on low was able to trick frig sensor to turn on when trying this on freezer sensor no dice could temp control board be shorted out because of the wire issue would like to know how to check this part before ordering thanks for any help
The new main control board comes with the installation instructions requiring to cut some wires depending on the refrigerator serial number. Did you do it?
Gene.
thanks for the reply i double checked serial no and nothing matches my unit insructions for cutting wires are for bottom freezer models. i would like to ad that we moved the frig into garage for a spare and has no heat so it can get pretty cold this didnt seem to affect the old frig but this one didnt work properly but when the garage warms up seems ok around 0 in freezer and 38 in frig
