The tub spins clockwise during the wash cycle when agitating. Tub spins ok during draining. What could be the issue?
Check for something caught up under the agitator. To remove the agitator, place a flat strap underneath as close to the middle as you can get and forcefully yank it upwards. Be careful not to smack yourself in the face when it pops off.

Thank you for your reply. No obstruction under the agitator found. The tub actually spins in the same direction that the agitator does during the wash cycle both CW and CCW so that the water sloshes. Isn’t the tub supposed to not move during this cycle?

Ah, well, that’s a whole different story. This means the mode shifter isn’t working. Need to open the front panel and check for error code on the inverter board above the motor. Four flashes of the error code LED indicates mode shifter problem. Disconnect the two conductor plug (yellow, red wires) from the inverter board and check resistance, should be about 98 ohms. If it’s open, the coil is bad and mode shifter must be replaced.
