My GE washing machine goes through all the cycles without a problem. However, when it reaches the spin cycles it does not drain:confused:
Hi Billk
Remove the front panel and check the drain pump.
If it runs but does not drain, most likely there are a foreign objects inside the drain hoses or the pump impeller.
It should be 120V coming to the pump when the timer is set for spin (the lid should be closed).
If there is no proper power coming to the pump and the washer spins, then the problem could be a bad wires or a bad timer.
If the washer does not drain and spin, then it could be a bad lid switch, a bad wires or a bad timer.
If there is 120V coming to the pump but the pump does not run, then the pump itself is bad.

Randy,
Use a 15/16" socket(I believe that is the size) with ratchet on the sprocket nut to raise the ram.
