With out doing any continuity checks (shame on me) I replaced the timer because I saw a switch imbeded in the timer in the wiring schematic. This didn’t help.
I checked continuity on the start switch. It was ok.
I checked continuity on the temp selector switch. Low temp shows continuity w/ 0 ohms resistance. High temp doesn’t show any continuity. However, I did show 28 ohms of resistance. Is this ok?
Looking at the schematic that comes with the machine I see a funny looking symbol for a switch on a (yellow) hot wire line going to the heating element from the motor. I’m not sure why it’s drawen the way it is. I assume that it’s there because you don’t want the heater on unless the motor is blowing. I assume that this switch is sort of a safety hand shake. Please advise. Am I on the right track? I’m going to do a cont check on this wierd switch. If it’s bad, can I fix or replace it? What do I ask for?
