Long time reader, first time poster. After about 15 seconds, oven thinks it’s pre heated, say to 400 degrees. Sometimes will work if you put it all the way to 500, but that is getting old. Would it be the oven temp sensor on this maytag model? I’ve read other posts that say sensor should be 1100 ohms, but where is the sensor located? I’m electrically inclined, but have never worked on a stove.
Thanks
HI the sensor is located in back of the oven … You must remove the metal plate in back of the oven.
You did not mention if it’s a gas, or electric … But the sensor is on the left side on the top part of the oven. Take the back of the stove off and ohm the sensor. it should be 1100l The sensor is on the inside of the oven. But the wires you need to Ohm are in the back at the top portion of the oven. If the sensor is bad, it will usually fast a f3 code or some code. The element could be bad if it’s a electric oven. If it’s gas it could be the lignite
