help please

can anyone tell me how to test the run capacitor
it is part# 55 on system diagram after reading allot of your blog we’re pretty sure or at least praying that the problem is either the relay switch or compositor & with money being so tight only have the money to purchase 1 right now it was working exelent then wife filled it and the vacuum sound that it always did as soon as door shut and noticed that a couple of the pizzas defrosted so we remove and rearranged the food inside for better air flow vacuum sound didn’t come back but it did cool down for about a wk then it just stopped cooling at all hoping to fix cheep

Note that neither the compressor or the capacitor tests are definitive.
In other words if the part fails the test it is bad but if it passes the test it does not mean that it is good. In the case of the capacitor it may only fail when full working voltage is applied to it.

If the start relay is getting 120 volts then it is a more likely suspect.

I am assuming that the problem is that the compressor gets voltage but does not run.

If it does not get voltage then the problem may be the control thermostat.
