I have a very old Kenmore washing machine. I wanted to clean out my cold water line and after i put it back together my cold water line just runs even if the washer is unplugged. It runs all the cycles with hot but not cold. Can someone tell me whats going on. Let me know if its fixable by my or if i need to have a service tech come out.
Your cold water valve is stuck open. You need to replace the valve assembly, which is not difficult but we cannot tell you more without a model number.
