OK, before you give me advice please read carefully!
The washer WILL NOT AGITATE (motor just hums), BUT the motor WILL SPIN in SPIN CYCLE and drain properly!
- Yes we are getting 120V to washer.
- We have checked the motor to transmission coupling, its perfect.
- We have checked the transmission movement and clutch in both directions, they are perfect.
- We have checked the lid switch, its perfect.
- We have checked the pump and it turns freely and pumps water, its perfect.
- We have pulled the motor off decoupling it from transmission and pump and turned the washer on in agitate mode and it just hums (motor shaft doesnt spin)
- We have tested the fill switch with ohm meter and have also jumped it (across purple/tan/pink wires) to make it show water level full and the motor shaft still doesnt spin.
- We have replaced the motor with a brand new one to check verify the capacitor and motor circuit, and even with the new motor it still doesnt spin.
The only thing left is the silly timer controller… Does this sound like it needs to be replaced. I just dont want to buy another part that I cant return!
Any help on this ASAP would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike Savage
